The Industrial Engineer will act as based on scientific time studies for a fabrication industry.
His main task is to measure the work and efforts required to execute the work and prepare estimation sheets of all resources required mainly cost and time.
He shall be a key person with keen interest in manufacturing operations, an eye for detailing and keen interest for estimation with very good verbal and written
communication skill and one who can work under pressure.
Responsible to conduct time studies on the shop floor, create cycle time and cost models for standard activities.
Responsible for Lean Value Stream Mapping (VSM), identifying and quantifying all type of wastage’s and plan and execute improvement plans to eliminate or reduce them
to the extent possible.
Shall undertake assignments as both Industrial as well as Method engineering expert for consistent and systemic improvement in plant performance
and optimum utilization of all resources with minimum wastage’s.
A person is required to review 100% fabrication drawings of new project order and convert work content in measurable units like total meters of welding,
o number of fitment, volume for grinding, surface area for painting etc
He will apply his cycle time and cost models to this work content and prepare estimates
for the requirement of total skill wise man-hours, machine hours, and consumable, cycle time for individual parts, sub-assemblies and total assembly in the project.
He shall also be able to prepare schedules for each of above based on work content, cycle time, capacity calculations and available resources.
He will work as an estimation engineer and support sales / Marketing with estimation of costing and Delivery cycle time for new inquiries.
He will create and establish the system to generate the database of Estimated Vs Actual resource consumption with reference to all project parameters which will
help in turn for Estimation of future projects.
He will be also assisting all improvement projects under Kaizen,
Suggestion scheme and all initiatives supporting Cost / Cycle time reduction including m/c or process selection.
Scheduling skill will be an added advantage.
